THROOP, DWIGHT
After a battle with cancer, Dwight passed away April 12, 2016. Dwight grew up in Eastern Ontario but after meeting his true love Jean (Crawford) of Hampton, he came to love New Brunswick too. His teaching career took him to Perth, Smith Falls, Niagara Falls and Etobicoke, Ontario. He was principal of Kingsview Village, Greenholme and Sir Adam Beck. But every summer they would make the trip to the Bellisle Bay in New Brunswick to relax with family and friends. He continued to make the trip every summer after her passing in 2004. He will be greatly missed at the evening campfires.
Dwight is predeceased by his beloved wife Jean, of 51 years, and their older son, Bruce.
Dwight is survived by his son David (Lynda), brother Lloyd (Muriel), and sisters Joyce Brydges and Gladys Fischer (Henry), sister-in-laws Yvonne and Muriel and grandsons Kevin, Josh (Cheryl), Shawn, Paul and Alex and his great grandson Isaac.
Dwight was a passionate educator, a responsible citizen and loving husband father and grandfather. Each of his numerous friends enriched his life. He was grateful for his wonderful, enviable, earthly life.
The funeral will be held at Humber Valley United Church, 76 Anglesey Boulevard, Toronto on April 16, 2016 at 2pm. Reception to follow. Interment with his wife, Jean and their son, Bruce will be in Hampton Rural Cemetery, Hampton, New Brunswick.
