1967 - 2016
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Brenda Lake of Fortune announces her passing at the Grand Bank Health Care Centre on Friday, April 15th, 2016, at the age of 48. Leaving to mourn her husband of 25 years Donald Lake and daughter Jennifer Lake (Matthew Anstey); mother Martha Moores of Fortune; sisters Lorena Stacey (Albert) of Fortune, Tammy Mullins (Terry) of Fortune and Trina Slaney (Greg) of Goulds; brother Craig Moores (Lisa) of Milton, ON; father and mother-in-law, Clarence and Eleanor Lake of Fortune; brother-in-law Neal and Joanne of Fortune; nieces and nephews Terry-Lynn and Justin Mullins, Travis Stacey, Rebecca and Samantha Moores, Andrew, Jacob and Carly Lake; two great-nephews Jayden and Deacon. She was predeceased by father Thomas Moores. Resting and visitation took place at Wiseman's Funeral Home in Fortune. The Funeral Service took place at the United Church in Fortune, on Sunday, April 17th, at 2 p.m. Cremation followed. In Brenda's memory donations may be made to the Fortune Fire Department.
