GILLIS, BARRY "BUTCH" RAYMOND
It is with heavy hearts that the family of Barry "Butch" Gillis announces his death at the Oromocto Public Hospital on April 17th, 2016 at the age of 69. Born in Charlottetown, PE, on September 17th, 1946, he was the son of the late Daniel Joseph and Mary Alice (Gauthier) Gillis.
Butch leaves behind his son, Daniel Gillis (Hope Deadder); Derek Hickey, whom he loved like a son; and nieces and nephews in Charlottetown and Oromocto.
In addition to his parents, Daniel and Mary Alice, he was predeceased by his brothers and sisters.
Butch was a career fire fighter with the Oromocto Fire Service. He loved his cars and his dog, Blue. He will be sadly missed.
A memorial gathering will take place at the Hazen Park Centre in Oromocto on Thursday, April 21st, 2016 at 2:00 pm followed by a reception. Interment will take place in Charlottetown, PE, at a later date.
