Myers, John Herbert
It is with sadness that the family of John Herbert Myers, husband of Frances (Gorham) Myers, announce his passing at the York Care Centre, Fredericton, NB on April 21, 2016. He was born on March 12, 1939 in Norton, NB, a son of the late John and Thelma (Dimock) Myers.
John is survived by his devoted wife of 53 years, Fran; children: David(Suzanne) of Dieppe, Bruce (Debbie) of Bridgewater, NS, Krista of Bedford, NS, and Heather (Josh) McElman of Fredericton; cherished grandchildren Philippe and Leah Myers; brother Harold (Marie) of Surry, BC, as well as several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, John was predeceased by his sister Mary Delong and brother Leonard.
John, known as Bunny to family and friends, worked for the Province of NB for 30 years. He was a man who handled his illness with grace and dignity and always had a ready smile. He loved watching Philippe play hockey and hear Leah play piano and tell stories. The family thanks the various health care workers who helped John over the years.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Sherwood's Funeral Home and Life Tribute Centre (506-839-2156), 18 Scovil Road, Norton, NB. A celebration of John's life will be held from Sherwood's ChapelSaturday June 11 at 11 am.  Interment will be held at Riverbank Cemetery.
