Beatrice Black

BLACK, BEATRICE ROSE
It is with great sadness the family announces the passing of Beatrice Rose (Gaudet) Black which occurred at the Loch Lomond Village on Friday, April 22nd, 2016. Born 1912, in Collette, NB, she was the daughter of the late Tom and Esperance (Pitre) Gaudet. Beatrice lived on Bayside Drive for 67 years and most recently at the Loch Lomond Village, Willow House. She had a tremendously strong faith in God.
Beatrice is survived by her son Gordon Black (Sheila Norquay) of Orleans, ON; daughters Claudette Winchester (Deacon Lee) of Ottawa, Bettyann Young of Saint John; brothers Manuel Gaudet (Regina) of Rogersville, Thomas Gaudet (Ida) of Rogersville, Joseph Gaudet (Evelyn) of PEI; sisters Pauline Mazerolle of Saint John, Claudia Boucher of Saint John; grandchildren Tim Winchester (Vicky), Terri Short (Tony), Tony Winchester (Kim), Tamara Winchester, Carolyn Black (Mike), Peter Black (Kathy), Michael Black, Robert Black, David Black, Cathy Fischer (Wayne), Shawn Young (Eriko), Tara Reid; great-grandchildren Jessie and Amy Winchester, Alex and Katy Black, Justin and Sarah Short (Maxime Gauvin), Marissa and Dustin Fischer, Akiesha and Cody Winchester, Elle Reid, Sophie and Nicolas Black; as well as several cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
Besides her parents, Beatrice was predeceased by her husband Leo; sons Roger, Ellis and Claud; daughters Claudia, Shirley, May, Rosemarie, and Norma; brothers Leo, Edward, and Edmund; sisters Irene, May and Evelyn.
The family would like to take this opportunity to thank the staff of Loch Lomond Village for their care and compassion. We would also like to thank Irene Mott, Ashley Giddings and Blair and Millie Cameron for always being there. Thank you to all who visited Beatrice during her stay at the Village.
Arrangements are under the direction of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424) with visitation being held on Tuesday, April 26th from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place from Stella Maris Church on Wednesday, April 27th at 12 noon followed by an interment at St. Joseph’s Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Beatrice’s memory may be made to Stella Maris Church or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
