The death occurred at his home in Fortune Cove on Saturday, April 23, 2016, of Garnet Joseph Dyment, aged 69, beloved husband of Marie (Peters). Born on Nov. 21, 1946, at Bloomfield Station, son of the late Woodrow and Florence (Jones) Dyment. Dear father to Jason (Lisa), Lynn Lake, Man., and Jodi (Tim) Moll, Calgary, Alta., and step-father to Jason (Trina) Somers, Mount Albert, Ont., and Matthew (Bobbilynn) Somers, Fortune. Loving grandfather to Olivia, Ben Dyment, Tyson and Alex Moll, Alana and Logan Somers, Hayley Somers, Layla Jacklyn and Riley Somers. Dear brother to Shelton (Joanne), Eddison (Arlene), Rodney (Debbie), Derek (Janie), Erna (Joey) Stevens, Bryce (Monique), Marlene (Philip) McEachern, Wyatt (Karen), Wade, Susan (Steve) and Bayfield (Darlene). Garnet is also survived by brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Annette MacDonald, Ted (Peggy) Peters, Clair (Mary) Peters, Yvonne (Sam) Wedge, Joe Peters, Emily (Jim) Storey, Al Peters, Cam Peters and Larry (Cindy) Peters, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents, sister Mona (Weldon) Smith, brother-in-law Wilfred Peters and sister-in-law Heather Peters. Resting at Ferguson Funeral Home and Chapel, O’Leary, with visiting hours on Tuesday, April 26, 2016, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Wednesday until 10 a.m., then to St. Anthony’s Roman Catholic Church, Woodstock, for funeral Mass at 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow in St. Mark’s Roman Catholic Cemetery, Burton Lot 7. In memory of Garnet, memorials to St. Mark’s Cemetery or Home Care, West Prince Palliative Care, would be appreciated.
