It is with great sadness that we, the family, announce that Marie DeGiobbi, 58, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 27, 2016 at the New Waterford Consolidated Hospital.
Born in New Waterford, she was the daughter of Hilda (Pastuck) McKinnon and the late John McKinnon.
Marie enjoyed going for long drives, a good game of bingo with friends, but her main joy in life was spending time with her son, Ryan.
She is survived by her mother Hilda; husband Brian; son Ryan; daughter, Jerrylyn; brother, John Calvin (Shannon); sister, Mary (Gerald); grandsons, Josh and Coady; as well as many nieces and nephews. She is also survived by special friends, Aunt Linda MacKinnon, Bridget MacCuish and Donna Steiger.
Besides her father, she was predeceased by her son, Brian.
Cremation has taken place and a chapel service will be held on Monday, May 2, 2016 at 11 a.m. in the funeral home chapel with Fr. Ray Huntley officiating, followed by a luncheon at the K.O.C, Plummer Avenue. All are welcome. Burial to follow in Mount Carmel Cemetery.
