It is with heavy hearts and great sadness that we announce the sudden but peaceful passing of James Joseph Power of Long Harbour, on May 4th, 2016 at his home in Chapel Arm in the presence of his loving wife. Predeceased by his father Martin, sisters Lucy and Rita, brother Gerald (Sach), brother-in-law Dermot and sister-in-law Laura. Leaving to celebrate his life with fond and loving memories, his best friend and wife of 53 years, Margaret, three sons Shawn (Cynthia), Darrell (Cathy), James (Jeanette), and one daughter Wanda (Mervyn), six grandchildren Kelsey, Amy (Carlo), Travis, Tasha, Kali, and Stephanie, who will miss him deeply. Also lovingly remembered by his mother Catherine, and siblings Bernard, Junior, Shirley, Terry, Joyce, Barry, Richard, Glen, and Sandra, and a large circle of extended family and friends. Visitation will be held at Holloway's Funeral Home 33a Cabot Avenue, Whitbourne on Friday, May 6th at 10 am - 12 pm and 2-5 pm. Funeral Mass to be held at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church in Chapel Arm on Monday, May 9th at 1 pm.
