Albert Clamp passed away on his 90th birthday at Taign Na Mara in Glace Bay, N.S. Born April 29, 1926, he was the son of the late Charles and Emma Clamp, Kentville, N.S. During his lifetime, he as a soldier, boxer, steel worker, a member of the coast guard, and a chef. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his wife of 62 years, Bertha (Aitkens), his eldest son Murray Albert, grandson Ronnie, sister Doris, half-sister Florence, half-brothers William, John, Townsend and Eric. He is survived by sons Victor and Bruce, daughters Janet, Linda and Bonnie, 13 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren, as well as sister Bertha. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at the S.W. Chant & Son Funeral Home on Saturday, May 28, 2016 at 2 p.m.
