FLETCHER, ARTHUR TALBOT "ART"
1952 - 2016
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Arthur Talbot "Art" Fletcher, of Pollett River, NB on Monday, May 9th 2016 at The Moncton Hospital, with his family by his side.
Art was a retired CNR employee with 35 years of service. He was a member of the Elgin Horseshoe Club, past president of Horseshoe NB, a member of the Legion Dart Club and an avid bowler with the Petitcodiac Men's League.
Art "Fan" will be greatly missed by his family, friends and all those who got to experience his quick wit and great sense of humour.
Survived by his loving wife and best friend of 44 years, Louise (Devine); daughter Natasha Fletcher (Bill MacAvoy) of Halifax, NS; son Kyle Fletcher (Pamela Scheller) of Vancouver, BC; brother Cecil Fletcher (Diane) of Quispamsis, NB; four grandchildren Molly, Roarke, Dylan and Henley; aunt Marguarite Wilson of Saint John, NB; cousins Pat (Grant) Palmer of Lornville, NB, Ron (Elspeth) Wilson of Amherst, NS; also by many nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents Harold and Marjorie (Wilson) Fletcher, he was predeceased by sister Marguerite Campbell and brother John Fletcher.
Visitation will be held at Tuttle Brothers & Riverview Funeral Home on Thursday, May 12, 2016 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm. The Funeral service will be held at Tuttle Brothers & Riverview Funeral Home, 214 Pine Glen Rd. on Friday, May 13, 2016 at 11:00 am. Interment will be in Fairhaven Memorial Gardens. A celebration of Art's life will be held at the Petitcodiac Legion on Friday, May 13, 2016 at 1pm.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Art's memory made to the Friends of the Moncton Hospital Foundation (palliative care unit) would be appreciated by the family.
