WILDER, MARIAN E.
Unexpectedly at the Charlotte County Hospital on Wednesday, May 11th, 2016; Marian Elizabeth (Tabor) Wilder; wife of the late Donald Wilder of St. Andrews, NB. Born in St. George, NB, she was the daughter of the late Ervine and Edith (Dewar) Tabor.
A long term resident of St. Andrews, she was a member of Wesley United Church. Marian was an avid golfer, loved the game of bridge and was a member of the Duplicate Bridge Club and was also a keen member of the local chapter of Spindrifters. She was employed with Fisheries Research Board for several years.
Marian is survived by her son William “Bill” (Karen) of New Minas, NS, three daughters, Joan Hill (Brian) of St. Andrews, NB, Anne Caverhill (Paul), and Mary Louise Smith and her partner Brian Dorcas, all of Fredericton, NB, one sister Dorothy Cousins of Burlington, ON, six grandchildren Jennifer, Susan, Bruce, Mike, Philip, and Kate, four great-grandchildren, Matthew, Riley, Emma, and Sarah, nieces, nephews and cousins.
By Marian’s request cremation will take place. A celebration of her life will be held on Sunday, May 15th, 2016, at 2:00 pm, in the chapel of Humphrey’sFuneral Home, 20 Marks Street, St. Stephen, NB E3L 2B2 (506466–3110). A reception will immediately follow in the funeral home reception centre. The interment will take place in St. Andrews Rural Cemetery at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Marian’s memory can be made to the Red Cross of Canada or charity of the donor’s choice.
