Passed peacefully away at the Health Sciences Complex, with her loving husband of 43 years by her side on Wednesday, May 11, 2016. In her 80th year, Millie was predeceased by her daughter Lisa; parents Leonard and Lillian; brothers Cecil and Herbert; and sister Elizabeth. Leaving to mourn are her husband Dennis; sons Dennis (Heather) and Gary (Michelle); eight grandchildren: Jillian, Rebecca, Courtney, Ryleigh, Kalina, Kylie, Lacey and Jessica; one brother Thomas; five sisters: Jean (Dave), Florence, Evelyn, Mary and June; brother-in-law Thomas; as well as many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Visitation will be held at Barrett's Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Avenue, on Friday May 13, 2016 from 12-9 pm and on Saturday, May 14, 2016 from 10 am-12 noon. Funeral service to take place from Barrett's Funeral Chapel on Saturday, May 14, 2016 at 2 pm, with cremation to follow. Interment will take place at Mount Pleasant Cemetery on Monday, May 16, at 10 am. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy in Mildred's memory may be made to Heart & Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Diabetes Association.
