It is with saddened hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Ruth Dorval (Simmons) Mouland on Wednesday, May 11, 2016, at home.
Born Sept. 19, 1923, in Jacquet River, Restigouche, N.B., she was a daughter of the late George and Mary Ida (Goode) Simmons.
Ruth is survived by her husband, Browning; niece, Brenda Oakley (Robert Edwards), Sydney; many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, great-grandnieces, great-grandnephews and their families.
The last surviving member of her immediate family, Ruth was predeceased by 22 brothers and sisters.
Visitation will take place at Sydney Memorial Chapel on Sunday 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. A funeral service will be held in the chapel on Monday 2 p.m., with Pastor Bruce DeYoung officiating. Interment in Alfred Smith Cemetery.
