HARPER, WILLIAM C. "BILLY"
1948 - 2016
William Charles "Billy" Harper, son of the late Charles and Mary A. (Lewis) Harper, passed away at his residence, in Black River Bridge, on Sunday, May 22, 2016, at the age of 68. Born in Chatham, on February 10, 1948,
Billy was a fisherman, truck driver and a retired employee of the N.B. Dept. of Transportation (22 years of service) and an adherent of St. Stephens United Church, Black River Bridge. Billy enjoyed bowling, golf and crib over the years.
He is survived by five sisters, Shirley Rollings, of Sunderland, Ont., Joan Harper (Flavien), of Glenwood, Agnes Harper, of Black River Bridge, Della Koley (Trevor), of Calgary, AB, Beverly Hubbard, of Black River Bridge; one brother, John Harper (Carolyn), of Black River Bridge; nieces and nephews, Tammy Keller (Chris), Philip Rollings (Kristin), Johnathan Harper (Sara), Kenzie Godfrey (Justin), Aly Hubbard, Evan Hubbard, Alexa Koley; five great-nieces and nephews; two aunts, Jean Williston (Boyd) and Helen Taylor (Clint); as well as numerous cousins.
He was predeceased by his parents; one brother, Charles Leslie Harper.
Visitation will be at Adams Funeral Home Ltd., 140 King St., on Wednesday, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Funeral service will be held from Adams Funeral Home Chapel, on Thursday. May 26, 2016, at 2 pm, conducted by Rev. Charlene Maguire MacKnight. Interment will be in the Black River Community Cemetery, Black River Bridge, N.B.
As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Extra Mural Nursing Program or the Canadian Heart & Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
