It is with great sadness that the family of the late Gerard (Jerry) Stride announce his sudden passing on Saturday, May 21, 2016 at his residence at the age of 66 years. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his beloved wife Margaret of 24 years; sons: Colin (Lorna), Jerry (Kayla); grandchildren: Chantel, Amanda; brothers: Allan (Dianna), Tony (Linda); brothers-in-law: Reg (predeceased Marie), Derrick (Irene); along with many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents Peter and Annie; his father-in-law Alex and his mother-in-law Edna. Visitation will take place from Fillatre's Funeral Home, Stephenville Crossing on Wednesday, May 25th from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held at St. Joseph's Parish, St. George's, NL on Thursday, May 26, 2016 at 10 a.m. with Father Edmund Dantes officiating. As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to The Canadian Diabetes Association or The Red Cross in aid of Fort McMurray.
