1924-2016
Laurie Nowlan, of Sainte-Marie-de-Kent, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family at the Stella-Maris-de-Kent Hospital, on Friday June 3rd, 2016. He would have celebrated his 92 birthday on June 9, 2016. He was married to the late Dorilla (Melanson) Nowlan. Born in Sainte-Marie-de-Kent, he was the son of the late Louis and the late Sara (LeBlanc) Nowlan.
He will be sadly missed by his children; Andréa Gaudet (Charles) of Moncton, Eric (Jacqueline) of Saint-Joseph-de-Kent, Aurella Daigle (Claude) of Sainte-Anne-de-Kent, Odette Goguen (late Yvon) of Notre-Dame, Fernande Lacenaire (James) of Sainte-Marie-de-Kent, seven grandchildren; Serge, Rachelle, Nathalie, Christine, France, Isabelle and Gabriel, six great-grandchildren; Mathieu, Dominique, Danie, Lexie, Sophie and Simon, one great-great grandchild, Khloe, one brother, Aquila of Sainte-Marie-de-Kent and several nieces and nephews.
Laurie was predeceased by a son, Jean-Paul, a daughter, Yvette, four brothers; Edmond, Neri, Fred and Eric and two sisters; Evangeline and Elise.
Visitations will be held at the Notre-Dame du Mont Carmel Roman Catholic Church Slumber Room, in Sainte-Marie-de-Kent, on Sunday June 5, 2016 from 7 to 9pm and on Monday from 2 to 4 and from 5:30 to 6:45pm. The Funeral Mass will be held in the Notre-Dame du Mont Carmel Church on Monday June 6, 2016 at 7pm.
In Laurie’s memory a donation can be made to the Stella-Maris-de-Kent Hospital or to the Canadian Cancer Society.
