Adalaide (nee Cadwell) Dyet of Port Colborne passed away at the Welland County General Hospital on Friday, June 3, 2016.
Beloved wife of the late Robert Dyet (2007), loving mother of Judy Dyet-Tykoliz (Greg) of Port Colborne and Roberta Sauder (Kent) of Fort Erie, dear grandmother of six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; sister of Vinnie Marks of Cape Breton, N.S. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Beside her husband she was predeceased by her parents, George and Alice Cadwell; sisters, Florence Marks, Marjorie Theriault and Kathleen Munroe and brothers, Joseph, Stanley and James Cadwell.
Born in Alder Point, Cape Breton she has lived in this area since 1947. She was a member of St. James & St. Brendan Anglican Church. Adalaide had worked at the Regional Child Care Centre in Fort Erie as a cook and previously at the Humberstone Shoe Factory.
Mrs. Dyet’s family will receive visitors at the DAVIDSON FUNERAL HOME 135 Clarence St., Port Colborne on Sunday, June 5, 2016 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. and Monday, June 6, 2016 at St. James & St. Brendan Anglican Church from 12 noon until the time of service at 1 p.m. Burial will follow at Pleasantview Memorial Gardens.
Memorial donations may be made to St. James & St. Brendan’s Anglican Church or a charity of one’s choice.
