Peacefully, surrounded by family at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital on Friday, June 3, 2016 of Mr. George P. MacDonald of Charlottetown, age 78 years. Beloved husband of the late Elaine "Babe" (nee Clarkin) MacDonald and dear father of Charlene (Matt) Lund and Cheryl (Jason Dowling) MacDonald. He is also survived by six loving grandchildren Christine, Cole, Carly, Caleb, Caden and Chesa; sisters, Agatha MacDonald, Bertha Molyneaux, Mabel Pitre, Florence Hughes and Mary Catherine Thomson (Mike Prowse). He was predeceased by his parents William and Julia (nee McKay) MacDonald; seven brothers and six sisters. Resting at the Hennessey Cutcliffe Charlottetown Funeral Home until Wednesday morning, then transferred to St. Pius X Church for funeral mass at 10 a.m. Interment to follow in the Roman Catholic Cemetery, Charlottetown.
