It is with great sadness that the family of the late Leo Vincent Harvey, former CBC broadcaster and well-known curler, announce his passing at the Health Sciences Center in St. John's on the 6th of June, 2016. Leo was born in Grand Falls on January 14, 1931. He is predeceased by parents: Thomas and Anne Harvey; sisters: Eileen (Bud) Smith, Margaret, Zita (Jack) Byrd and Vera; brothers: Kevin (Anne) and Tom and grandson: Ryan. Left with fond and loving memories are his wife of 60 years: Madeline (nee Hill); daughters: Joanne (Jim) Devereaux and Michele (Keith) Renouf; sons: Leo (Vikki), Brian and Paul (Karen); sister: Hilary (Joe) Pacheco; brother Neil (Lois); grandchildren: Noelle (Shawn) Thomas-Kennell (great-granddaughter: McKinleigh), Stacie (Justin) Curtis, Kristin Harvey (Kris Penney), Julie Devereaux, and Alysha Renouf (Mark Butt). Also leaving a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held at Barrett's Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Ave. on Wednesday from 2:00 pm. - 4:00 pm. and 7:00 pm. - 9:00 p.m. and Thursday from 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 pm. A celebration of Leo's life will follow in the visitation room at 12:00 pm. Interment will be held at a later date. Flowers gratefully accepted, or donations may be made in Leo's memory to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or a charity of one's choice.
