Alphonse Albert, 80, of Cormier-Village, passed away at home on Monday, June 13th, 2016. Born in Bas-Caraquet on November 8th, 1935, he was the son of the late Joseph and Emma (Léger) Albert.
He worked in a fish processing industry and he was a local woodsman. He loved taking walks in the woods and was an avid Montreal Canadiens fan.
He will be sadly missed by his loving wife, Albertine Cormier; two brothers: Adilas (Florine) of Oshawa, ON, and Peter (Judy) of Windsor, ON; four sisters: Rita Jean (Antoine) of St-Paul de Bas-Caraquet, Aldéa Dugas (late Antoine) of Allardville, Jeanne d’Arc Lepine (Normand) and Mérilda Murray (Roland) both of Chicoutimi, QC; one grandson, Dylan Cormier, as well as several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by five brothers: Valmond, Hermel, Yvon, Nicholas and Réjean; two sisters: Gertrude and Aline.
The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, 396 Main Street, Shediac (532-3297) from where the funeral will be celebrated on Friday, June 17th, 2016 at 10:30 am. Visiting hours are Friday from 9:30 am until time of funeral.
In memory of Alphonse, a contribution to the family would be appreciated.
Cremation and funeral arrangements are under the direction of Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, Shediac (532-3297).
