Passed peacefully away at the L.A. Miller Centre after a lengthy illness on Wednesday, June 15, 2016. John Joseph Murphy (Jack) aged 78. Predeceased by his parents Catherine and Thomas; brothers Bill, Edward (Anne), Raymond, Daniel (Geraldine) and Thomas; sisters Bess (Patrick Rilley), Jessie (Douglas McCasic) and Loretta (Carl Slaunwhite); brother-in-law Ziggy Aharans; son-in-law Rick Russell; mother and father-in-law Margaret and Philip Grouchy. Leaving to mourn his devoted wife and love of his life of 58 years Elizabeth (Bet) (nee Grouchy) whom he treasured; daughters Mary Russell, Carol (Bill Bishop) and Rosemary; son John (Dale); his very special niece Darlene (Jim Hynes) whom he called his daughter; grandchildren Chris, Billy, Elizabeth, Stephen, Audra and Joshua; his special little girl Brooklyn Hynes who adopted him as her Poppy; great grandchildren Isaiah, Noah, Amelia, Caden, Layla, Kai and Dominic; his sister Rose Ahrens; sisters-in-law Margaret Murphy and Shirley Murphy; his extended family, the Grouchy's whom he adored and loved deeply; as well as many relatives and friends. Our Angel is now in the arms of his Mother whom he was missing for a long time to hold him. May the comfort of her arms around you give you the peace you needed. We love you with our Hearts and Soul, until we meet again God Bless. Cremation as taken place. Funeral Mass will take place on Saturday, June 18, 2016 at 9 a.m. from St. Teresa's Church.
