Ralston Phinney

Ralston E. Phinney of Riverview and formerly of Sackville, NB, passed away Saturday, June 11, 2016 at the Moncton Hospital. Born in Midgic, NB, he was the son of the late Lewis and Esther (Estabrooks) Phinney.
He was a Veteran of WWII, having served overseas with The NB North Shore Regiment. Ralston worked at the Dorchester Penitentiary for over 28 years prior to his retirement. He was well liked and appreciated by friends during his conversation over coffee in the mornings at McDonalds or Tim Horton’s in the afternoons.
He will be dearly missed by his daughter, Golda Shea, sons; Wayne (Louise), Bob (Debbie), Dean, Brian (Kenney), Kimball (Bobbi Jo) and Malcolm (Tammy), several grandchildren, great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. He was predeceased in 2012 by his wife Sylvia (Wigmore) and 2 brothers; William and Conrad.
The family received relatives and friends at Cobb‘s Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 330 Whitepine Road, Riverview (869-2007) Tuesday from 6 – 8 PM, with The Royal Canadian Legion, Branch #6 Moncton, held a memorial service at 5:45 PM, Tuesday at the funeral home. A service celebration of Ralston’s Life took place at Cobb’s Funeral Home Memorial Chapel Wednesday, June 15, 2016 at 11 AM with Rev. Frank Trail. The interment has taken place in The Sackville Cemetery. Donation to the memorial of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
