Ruth Kennie

KENNIE, RUTH ANNE HELEN
1957 – 2016
Ruth Anne Helen Kennie, 59, of Shepody passed away on Saturday, June 18, 2016 at the Moncton Hospital surrounded by her loving family. Ruth was born in Riverside–Albert on January 31, 1957 the daughter of the late Vincent and Audrey (Capson) Wilson.

Ruth worked at various jobs over the years, mainly in the tourism industry, cooking and cleaning. Her main priority in her life was her family. Ruth was a very devoted wife, mother, nanny, sister and aunt. She always put the needs of her family in front of her own. She wouldn't care what she had but wanted to make sure her children and grandchildren got what they needed and, most of the time, what they wanted. Ruth loved all children and they loved her. She always looked forward to visits and spoiled them as if they were her own. Her house was definitely the gathering spot and she was always accommodating to all who stopped in. She was very proud of her children and grandchildren and was always ready to tell you about all their accomplishments. Her new great grandson has just arrived and will have a guardian angel looking over him. Ruth loved to joke and laugh and you could see that twinkle in her eye when she was up to something. She has left a legacy of love for all who knew her. "What we keep in memory is ours forever."

She will be deeply missed by her husband, Leslie Kennie; treasured children, Wendy Kennie (Allen) of Lower Cape, Shelly Wilbur (Terry) of Curryville, Travis Kennie (Robin) of Riverside–Albert and Crystal Kennie of Shepody; cherished grandchildren, Alicia (Jeremy), Tyson, Jacob, Zackery and Colton and her precious little man, great grandson, Kaidyn; sisters, Lana Wilson (Peter) of Alma, SusanMorrisey (Michael) of Riverside–Albert; brothers, Carl Wilson (Joanne) and Greg Wilson (Heather) both of Shepody. She will also be missed by her aunt Judy Goguen of NS, her uncle Raymond Wilson of Hillsborough, by several nieces and nephews, and all of her in–laws and extended family.

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by brother Reginald and brother–in–law Basil.

She will be resting at the Albert County Funeral Home with visitation on Monday from 7 to 9 pm. The funeral service will be held at the Albert County Funeral Home on Tuesday, June 21, 2016 at 2:00 pm with Quincy Arbeau officiating. Interment will be in the Mountain View Cemetery, Lower Cape.

Donations to Pat Collier's Eye Stem Surgery Fund would be greatly appreciated by the family, or charity of the donor's choice.

Arrangements are in the care of the Albert County Funeral Home, 4130 Route 114, Hopewell Cape, NB, E4H–3K2 734–2780
