Denzil McLellan
TRURO – Denzil W. McLellan, age 95, of Truro, and formerly of Economy, Toronto and Parrsboro passed away Monday, June 20, 2016 at Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro.
Born in Economy, he was a son of the late John A. and Vera (Marsh) McLellan.
Denzil was a veteran of the Second World War serving five years in Scotland with the Forestry Corp. He later was employed as a land surveyor with the Toronto General Burying Grounds for 37 years.
Upon his retirement, he was a member of Parrsboro Legion Branch No. 45 and Minas Masonic Lodge, Parrsboro.
He is survived by his wife, Muriel (McLellan) McLellan; a daughter, Sharon McLellan-Bisson (Maurice), Pont-Rouge, Qué.; sons, David McLellan, Ottawa, Ont.; Eric McLellan (Janet), Markdale, Ont.; John A. McLellan (Kim Corlett), Ottawa, Ont.; 7 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by brothers, LeRoy and Harvey.
Private family service will be held at a later date.
