McLAUGHLIN, GENE
It is with sadness that the family of Gene McLaughlin of Tracy announce his passing at the Fredericton Hospice on June 30, 2016. Gene was born in Tracy, NB, on May 10, 1939. He is the son of Lillian Grant and Frank McLaughlin and loving husband of Charlene McLaughlin.

Gene was a heavy equipment operator for most of his working life. Gene was blessed with the gift of music. A self taught musician, he played many instruments but was best known for his fiddle music and played at countless dances and community events over the years. Gene was happiest at home with his family and friends enjoying visits and storytelling.

He will be missed by his wife, Charlene, of 48 years, two daughters; Loriann McCutcheon (Gary), Crystal Maxwell (Jeff), three sons; Kim (Rochelle), Darren (Diane), Todd (Lisa), one sister Joan Phillips, one brother Edgar (Shirley), six grandchildren; Nathan, Rhiannon, Chloe, Camryn, Brooke, Carlen and several nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, Gene was predeceased by one sister Alice Billings, three brothers; Garth, Lloyd and Glen.

Visitation will be held in the sanctuary of the Fredericton Junction United Baptist Church, Sunday, July 3, 2016 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm. The funeral is on Monday July 4, 2016, at 3pm, with Rev. James Harrison officiating. Interment will be in the Tracy United Baptist Cemetery. If you wish, donations may be made in memory of Gene to the Fredericton Hospice, or a charity of your choice. Arrangements are in the care of Sunbury Funeral Home, Central Blissville, NB (368–2413).
