Peacefully and surrounded by family, Ethel Chamberlain passed away on June 22, 2016 at the age of 78 years, in Edmonton. She will be lovingly remembered by her mother, Winnifred Michaud, her son, Lee (Gwen Leach); daughters: Charlene (Eileen Rayner), Brenda (Harvey) Moen, and Madison Chamberlain; brother: Roger (Karen) Ridge, 7 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren, and numerous relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her loving husband, David, in 2003 and her sister Lois Crockett in 2005. Ethel was an avid crafter and gardener, and enjoyed most spending time with her family and friends. Both Mom and Dad were known for their warm hospitality. She retired early to Colonsay, Sask., in 1996 with Dad, and she moved to Edmonton in 2014 to be closer to family. A celebration of her life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Ethel's name can be made to Capital Care Norwood Palliative ward, 10410 111 Ave NW, Edmonton, AB, T5G 3A2.
