We are sad to announce the passing of our beloved son, brother, uncle and friend, Reginald ‘Reg’ Axworthy, on Tuesday, June 28, 2016, at home.
Born in Halifax, Reg was the son of Gladys (Madower) and the late John ‘Gunner’ Henry Axworthy.
Reg was a hard worker for he was an appliance repairman for many years. He loved the outdoors especially, hunting and fishing with his best friend and father, John ‘Gunner’. Reg will be missed by all who knew him.
Reg is survived by his mother, Gladys; brothers, Francis (Mary), John (Marian); and niece, Cassandra. He is also survived by his cousin and best friend, Gerald ‘Smurf’ Axworthy.
Besides his father, Reg was predeceased by his sister, Margaret Ann.
Cremation has taken place and a private family gathering to celebrate the life of Reg Axworthy will take place at a later date.
Donations in memory of Reg may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the care and direction of Pier Community Funeral Home.
