BASTARACHE, NÉLIDA
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Nélida ‘Nelly’ Bastarache, 97, wife of the late Henri Bastarache of Moncton. She passed away peacefully oMonday, July 4, 2016 at the Dr. Georges–L. Dumont UHC.

She was born August 30, 1918 in St–Maurice, she was the daughter of the late Johnny and Sara (Després) LeBlanc. Upon the death of her mother, Nélida was then adopted into the large loving family of Edouard and Marie LeBlanc whom she enjoyed very much.

She is survived by three children: Léo–Paul (Jeannita), Annette Hogan (Lyle), and Jeannine Kent; two grandchildren: Shawn (Nicole) and Kristin (Dave); two great–grandchildren: Dylan and Kyle; two half–brothers: Felix and Albert LeBlanc. She was the last survivor of her adopted family.

Nelly enjoyed music, trying to play the violin, and was constant supporter of the Chorale Beauséjour. She loved dancing, animals, and mostly her family.She was the matriarch of Pine Street, known as Mim, she was generous to a fault, and did so much to help the people who surrounded her.We will always love you and keep you in our hearts.

The family will receive condolences and the Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, 88 Church Street, Moncton (858–1900) from where the funeral service will be celebrated on Friday July 8 at 11 a.m. A reception at the centre will follow. Visiting hours are Thursday from 7 to 9 pm and Friday from 9:30 am until time of the service. Interment will be in Our Lady of Calvary cemetery, Dieppe.
