DOUCET, NORMAN
1931 - 2015

Moncton, NB - Norman Doucet, 85, passed away at The Moncton City Hospital Wednesday, July 6th, 2016 after a long courageous battle with cancer.

Born in Moncton, he was the son of the late Clarence and the late Elodie Doucet (nee Dupuis).

Norman retired from CN Rail after a 40 year career as a Supervisor of Traffic Systems Administration and Training. He also coached minor hockey for 20 years and refereed for MAHA/CAHA Amateur Hockey Associations for 25 years.

Norman is survived by his three daughters, Bernita Boucher (Rémi) of Moncton, Monique Boudreau (Bertrand) of Shediac and Nicole Doucett of Riverview; five sons, Jerry (Judy) of Moncton, Bermond (Margaret) of Edmonton, Roger of Moncton, Serge (Sandra) of Airdrie, AB and Jules of Cap-Pelé; two sisters, Doreen Prater (John) of Florida and Elizabeth Jaillet (Junior) of Moncton; three brothers, Léonard (Mary) of Ontario, Paul (Lorraine) of Ontario and Bob (Cathy) of Fredericton; eight grandchildren, Christopher, Sabrina, Danielle, Marcel, Brandy, Ashley, Jessica and Krista; six great grandchildren, Logan, Ella, Elias, Marissa, Isabelle and Sami; and by several nieces and nephew.

Besides his parents, Norman was predeceased by his loving wife of 62 years, Bernice Doucet (Léger); three sisters, Louise Doucet (infant), Eileen Brown and Pauline Cloud; two brothers Paul (infant) and Billy; as well as his caring companion, Margaret McCrea.

As per Norman`s wishes there will be no visitation at the funeral home. Funeral Mass will be held at Notre-Dame-de-la-Paix Roman Catholic Church, 87 Murphy Avenue, Moncton on Monday, July 11, 2016 at 3:00pm.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or The Friends of Moncton Hospital (Palliative Care Unit) would be appreciated by the family.
