1927–2016
RICHIBUCTO, NB – It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Bernadette Martin, wife of the late Calixte Martin (May 12, 2016) of Richibucto at the Villa Maria, Saint–Louis–de–Kent on Thursday, July 7, 2016.

Born in Cap St. Louis, she was the daughter of the late Luc Vautour and Lucie (Robichaud) Vautour. She was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend.

Bernadette will be sadly missed by her five daughters, Laura Daigle (Gerald) of Richibucto, Jeanne Eva Sullivan (David) of Rexton, Rose–Ella Fillmore (Daryl) of Clairville, Nicole Johnson (Rony) of Aldouane, Bernice Tucker (Chuck) of Fords Mills; two sons, Rene Martin of Moncton, Stephane Martin (Helene) of Baie–Ste–Anne; sixteen grandchildren and twenty great-grandchildren. She is also survived by one daughter–in–law, Idora and many nieces and nephews.

The last surviving member of her immediate family, she was predeceased by her parents; husband Calixte Martin; two sons, Neri, Ronald, one granddaughter, Veronique Martin Cormier; one grandson, Jean–Pierre Martin; son–in–law, Gilles Richard; five sisters; Maggie, Eva, Obeline, Catherine, Henriette; two brothers, Eddie and Johnny.

Visitation will be held at Thompson’s Funeral Home, Richibucto on Sunday from 2 to 4 & 7 to 9 pm, Monday at noon until departure for the funeral. A Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, July 11, 2016 at 2:00 pm, St. Louis de Gonzague Roman Catholic Church, Richibucto. Donations in Bernadette`s memory may be made to the St. Louis de Gonzague Roman Catholic Church or the Villa Maria.

Of all the gifts that life had to offer, our loving Mother was the greatest of them all.

Arrangements are in care of Thompson’s Funeral Home, Richibucto (523–4252).
