Opal Fitzherbert

Born June 19, 1934 in Andover N.B., Opal passed away peacefully July 9, 2016, surrounded by her loving family and the caring staff at Kings Way Care Center Quispamsis. She was the daughter of the late George and Josephine (McGuire) Coston. She was the devoted wife of 49 years to the late Ralph Fitzherbert.

Opal’s faithfulness and devotion to her Lord, her family, friends and church will be sadly missed.

Opal is survived by her three daughters; JoAnn MacDonald (Duncan) of Bellville, Ont., Bonnie Ross (Kevin) and Angela Breau (Mark) both of Quispamsis, N.B., brothers; Archie (Ruth) of Nerepis, N.B. and Eric (Janet) of Summerville, N.B., sister; Edna Fitzherbert (Clarence) of Truro, N.S., six grandchildren; Lisa, John, Tara, Sandy, Daniel and Kate, and seven great–grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, Opal was predeceased by an infant son; Maynard Fitzherbert, brother; Alfred Coston, and three sisters; Marguerite Coston, Joyce Coston and Rita Grant.

Opal will be resting at the Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646–2424) where the family will receive visitors on Monday, July 11th, 2016 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held from Fundy Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday, July 12th at 1:30 p.m. Interment will be held in Greenwood Cemetery immediately following.

Memorial donations may be placed towards the Kings Way Care Centre Foundation or to the Kings Way Assembly Building Fund.
