LeBlanc (Payn), Nancy Elizabeth – age 59 of Nakile Home for Special Care, passed away on July 18th 2016 at the home after a lengthy illness. Born in Glace Bay, Cape Breton she was a daughter to Gloria Payn and the late William Payn. Nancy worked at the Yarmouth Regional Hospital in housekeeping until 1982 when she retired due to her illness. Her co-workers described her as a person who was “full of life” and “energetic”. She enjoyed playing baseball and taught her son how to play which has now been passed down to her grandson. She is survived by her mother, Gloria Payn; son, Chad (Maryse LeBlanc); brothers, Raymond Payn and Bill (Jill) Payn; sisters, Margaret Payn (Anderson) and Kathy (Gerald) Gray; grandchildren, Sébastien LeBlanc and Alexander LeBlanc. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Sweeny’s Funeral Home and Crematorium, Yarmouth. There was no visitation by family request. A celebration of Nancy’s life was held Thursday, July 21, 2016 at 2 P.M. from Sweeny’s Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. A.D “Bill” Newell officiated. Interment will take place at a later date.
