CASSIE MAY HARDY
November 1, 1920 – July 21, 2016

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Cassie May Hardy (nee Mauger) announces her peaceful passing at Dr. Charles L LeGrow Health Centre in Port aux Basques at the age of 95 years. Born at Petites, Cassie was the daughter of the late Aaron and Emma Mauger. She was also predeceased by her husband Freeman in 1984, brothers; Andrew Mauger (Ethel), Ward Mauger, Sawl Mauger and sister Maggie Bennett (Colin). A wonderful, loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great, great grandmother, Cassie will be sadly missed by her children George Mauger (Ruth) Diamond Cove, Mary Hardy (Gerald), Ward Hardy (Diane) all of Rose Blanche, Clarence Hardy (Anne) Searston, many grandchildren, great grandchildren, great, great grandchildren and a large circle of nieces, nephews and many friends. Visitation took place on Friday evening and continued on Saturday from St. Micheal's and All Angels Anglican Church in Rose Blanche, from where the funeral service took place on Sunday July 24, 2 pm officiated by Rev. Jeffrey Petten, interment followed at Hillside Haven Cemetery, Isle aux Morts Road. Flowers graciously accepted or donations in memory of Cassie can be made to the charity of one's choice.
