Passed away at the James Paton Memorial Health Centre, Gander on Sunday, June 26, 2016, Gordon Douglas Joseph Maher, age 78. Predeceased by his parents William and Jessie Maher, sister Anne Gardiner, brothers Patrick and William. Left to mourn with loving memories are his wife Margaret, sons Kevin (Irene), Saskatoon and Robert (Deanne), Lloydminster; brother Thomas (Lorraine), Grand Falls-Windsor; sister-in-law Joan, Red Cliff; grandchildren Brent, Crystal, Melissa, Robin, Christian, Hannah and Cheyenne; great-grandchildren Nadia, Destiny, Sidney, Sophie, Casper, Dane, Dustin, Cleo and Zoey also a large circle of other family and friends. Rested at Stacey's Funeral Home, Gander. Funeral service was held 1 PM Wednesday, June 29 at St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church. Interment followed at All Saints Cemetery. Donations in Gordon's memory may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation. Gordon had a passion for traveling and he also loved to bake breads and cakes.
