The death occurred at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside on August 2, 2016 of William J. Gallien, Skinners Pond aged 74 years. Beloved husband of Catherine M. Gallien (nee Doucette) of Skinners Pond. He was born in Palmer Road on April 22, 1942, the son of the late Joseph and Catherine (Perry) Gallien. He is survived by daughter Deborah (Larry Acorn), Peterborough, Ont.; son Wade of British Columbia; stepchildren Scott (Joni) Arsenault, Tignish; Benji Arsenault at home; Freddy (Wendy) Fraser, Alberton; Billy (Judy) Fraser, Alberta and Carolann (Wade Corcoran), Summerside. Loving grandfather to 4 grandchildren, 10 step grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by brothers and sisters-in-law Freddy Gaudet, Alan (Verna) Doucette, Sonny Doucette, Jackie & Judy Doucette, Gail & Russell Shea and Glenn & Carolann Doucette. He was predeceased by sisters Josephine (Leo) Doucette, Loretta (Leo) O’Meara, Julia (John) Firth, Geraldine Gaudet and by a brother Leo. Resting at the West Prince Funeral Home, 522 Thompson Road, Palmer Road for visiting hours Wednesday 7-9 p.m. Funeral will be held Thursday August 4, 2016 at St. Simon & St. Jude Church, Tignish with funeral mass at 10:30 a.m. Celebrant Rev. Brendan Gallant. Interment will take place at the Immaculate Conception Church Cemetery, Palmer Road.
