It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Grace Jane Gunter, beloved wife, mother and grandmother on July 31, 2016 at the age of 84 years at the Melfort Hospital. Grace was born on January 2, 1932 in Melfort, SK to parents Eddy and Iola Armstrong. Grace married Floyd Gunter in Melfort on December 4, 1964. Grace had attended public schools while growing up and high school at Two Rivers Bible Institute. After high school, she continued on to Prince Albert Business College taking a secretarial course, which then led her to becoming an instructor at the college. Grace was the secretary for the Midtown Community Club and her husband’s business while they lived in Prince Albert. After they sold the family business they retired back to Melfort in 1991 and Grace became very active with the Wheatland Calligraphy Guild for over 20 years. Grace is survived by her loving husband of 51 years Floyd, son: Blair (Louise) and their children Kristen and Megan and daughter Valerie; brother Frank and sister Lylia as well as many other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her parents Eddy and Iola. As per Grace’s request, there will be no funeral service.
