SHANE NOSEWORTHY

It is with heavy hearts and sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved son and brother, Shane Lloyd Noseworthy of Westmount on Aug 3, 2016.
Shane was born January 28, 1976 and was the son of the late James Noseworthy (Sydney) and Valerie and Tom Donovan (Westmount).
He is survived by his brothers, Dwayne (Cheryl) Dunphy; nieces, Kaylee and Amber (Beaver Bank), Cory (Tara) Donovan; nieces, Chloe and Chelsea (Frenchvale); sisters, Lori (Scott) Dunphy; nephew, Kyle, (Dartmouth), Kim Proctor; nephews, Mitchell, Tyler and niece, Jenna, (Sydney) and Tammy Donovan, niece, Tany; nephews, Dillon and Daniel (Sydney). He is also survived by his many aunts, Gladys Hewer, Eileen Kerr, Sylvia Tower, Sandra (Allan) MacLean, Donna (Dennis) Spurvey, Helen (Charlie) MacDonald, Marlene (Brian) Harrietha, Debbie (Doug) Peters, Delphine (Victor) Barossi, Donna Kearney; his uncles, George Noseworthy, Dan Penticost, Brian Penticost and Kenny (Cindy) Miller. Shane also leaves behind his many cousins and friends who loved and admired him very much.
Shane is predeceased by his maternal grandparents, Daniel and Alice Penticost (Westmount), his aunt, Harriet Penticost (Westmount); uncles, Bill Tower, Lloyd Kerr, Herbie Hewer all from Sydney. He is also predeceased by his paternal grandparents, Ches and Kay Noseworthy (Coxheath); uncles, Malcolm Noseworthy, Donnie Noseworthy, Ricky Noseworthy and Kenny Noseworthy all from Sydney.
He was a kind and gentle person who always had a smile and a kind word for everyone he met. He always took care of himself last and never wanted to burden anyone with his own problems. Shane loved playing the guitar, spending time with his brothers, golfing, playing poker, watching football and organizing their yearly fantasy football pool. He also enjoyed spending quality time with his sisters, his mom and Tom and was always a gracious host barbequing or making specials meals for the family.
Shane was employed at the Nova Scotia Community College, Marconi Campus as an IT Specialist. He thrived in his position there and was well respected by his coworkers and the many friends he made there.
Shane will be truly missed and always remembered by the many people whose lives he touched.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, Aug 7, 2016 at Chants Funeral Home, 564 Alexandra St., Sydney from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. with the service to immediately follow. Reception to follow service.
At this time, the family asks in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the, Cape Breton Regional Health Authority, Mental Health.
