The death occurred at the Prince County Hospital Summerside on Thursday August 18, 2016 of M. Eileen Gallant of Summer St., Summerside and formerly of Kensington aged 87 years. Born in Hope River on December 23, 1928 daughter of the late Cornelius and Mary (Pineau) Blanchard. Wife of the late Francis U. Gallant. Mother of Kenneth “Taz” (Verna Lynn), Brian (Leigh), Kevin (Janet), Carl (Connie), Dale (Jessy), Glenn, Donna (Earl) Gallant and Darlene (John) Hynes. Grandmother to Lauren (Chris), Katie, Luke, Alix, Rachel, Jake, Ruby and Henry. Great grandmother to Elle. Sister-in-law of Louise Blanchard, Dorothy Ritchie and Anita Gallant. Predeceased by brother Douglas Blanchard and sister Marion (Lloyd) Gaudet. Resting at the Davison Funeral Home Kensington where a private family service will be held on Saturday.
