MARGARET SPICER
September 3, 1925 – August 20, 2016
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Margaret Spicer announces her passing at the Dr. Charles L. LeGrow Health Centre on August 20 at the age of 90 years. Margaret was the daughter of the late Jack and Flora Keeping. She was also predeceased by mother and father-in-law James and Victoria (nee MacDonald) Spicer, first husband Ronald Munden, brothers Arthur (Sarah), Cyril (Emma Jane), Blandford (Sadie), sisters Maggie (Fred) Gibbs and Irene Keeping, brothers-in-law Maxwell King, James (Emily) Spicer, Levi (Josephine) Spicer, Pierce Spicer, Maxwell Spicer, Leslie (Flora) Spicer, Clifford Hardy and Edward Bernard and sister-in-law Elizabeth (Albert) McLeod. She leaves to mourn with many fond and loving memories her devoted husband Roy Spicer of 48 years Diamond Cove NL, her loving daughters Vivian (George) Walters Isle aux Morts NL, and Maxine (Roy Jr) Spicer Diamond Cove NL, a proud grandmother to Ronald (Kendra) Walters Isle aux Morts NL, Darren (Diana) Walters Alabama USA, Krista (Martin) Walters Dartmouth NS, Vanessa Port aux Basques NL, Robin (Tyler) Spicer Ontario, Jenetta (Shawn) Cairns Ontario, Rebecca (Randy) Spicer Codroy Valley, great grandchildren Erica & Liam Walters, Addison Gallant, Chloe & Ethan Allen, Miranda & Thyrone Spicer, Hayden Cook and Madison Cairns, sister Ella King Port aux Basques NL, and sisters-in-law Ethel Spicer, Elsie Bernard and Shirley Hardy all of Diamond Cove NL, plus a large circle of nieces, nephews and friends. Visitation took place on Sunday, August 21 and Monday, August 22 from the family residence in Diamond Cove. Funeral services took place on Tuesday, August 23, 2 p.m. from St. Michael’s & All Angels Church in Rose Blanche with Rev. Jeffrey Petten officiating. Interment followed at Hillside Haven Cemetery, Isle aux Morts Road. Flowers graciously accepted or donations in memory of Margaret may be made to a charity of one's choice.
