ROBERT ANDERSON
January 2, 1942 – August 20, 2016
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Robert Anderson announces his passing at his residence at the age of 74 years. Born in Port aux Basques, he was the son of the late John and Mary (nee Spencer) Anderson. He was also predeceased by his stepfather Bud Beauchamp, sister Ethel, brother Stewart, sister-in-law Elizabeth (Ronald) McIntyre, brothers-in-law David Cox, Raymond Cox, Michael Young and Charles Howse. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his devoted wife Theona of 48 years, two sons Raymond (Denise) Anderson Burlington ON and Randy (Nadege) Anderson Maple Ridge BC, a proud poppy to Robert, Charles, Daniel, Liam and Eric. He will also remain in the hearts of his sisters Frances Howse St. John's NL, and Sheila (Harry) Legge and brother George (Geraldine) Anderson all of Port aux Basques NL, sisters and brothers-in-law Carol MacLeod Hinton AB, Theresa Young Sydney Mines NS, Edith (John) Brown Florence NS, Raymond Cox Port aux Basques NL, Guy (Suzy) Cox, Gary (Donna) Cox and Lynn Gillam all of Sydney Mines NS, Ann Marie (Calvin) Payne Port aux Basques NL, Maureen Snow Sydney Mines NS and a large circle of nieces, nephews and friends. Visitation took place on Tuesday, August 23 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. from east Haven Funeral Home Inc. With cremation following. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Wesley United Church. Funeral services taking place on Thursday, August 25, 2p.m. from Wesley United Church, Channel with Rev. Clayton Billard officiating. Interment followed at Wesley United Cemetery, Trans-Canada Highway.
