Passed peacefully but suddenly away after a brief illness at the Health Sciences Centre on August 22, 2016, Albert Jacobs Sr. of Hant's Harbour, age 80 years. Predeceased by parents William and Annie Jacobs; brother Chesley Jacobs; sister Minnie Clarke; and beloved daughter Wavey Dove. Leaving to mourn, wife Delphine; two sons Max (Paula) Jacobs of St. John's, NL, and Albert Jacobs Jr. (Jenn Breen) of St. John's; two daughters Joy Jolliffe (Corey Ward) of St. John's and Juanita Herrell of St. John's; sister Susie Mansfield of Old Perlican; brother Jim Jacobs of Calgary, AB; nine grandchildren Mandy, Shannon, Kyla, Robin, Joelle, Joshua, Michaela, Nathan and Aaron; 11 great-grandchildren; and many more beloved family members and good friends. Resting at Green's Funeral Home, main highway in Winterton on Tuesday, August 23rd from 7-9 pm and Wednesday, August 24th, from 3-5 pm and 7-9 pm. The funeral will be held at the Salvation Army Citadel, 100 Water Street in Carbonear at 2 p.m. on August 25th. Interment to be held at the Salvation Army Cemetery in Hant's Harbour.
