PORTER, Cory Robert – age 46 of Yarmouth, Nova Scotia, passed away in Yarmouth Regional Hospital on August 23, 2016. Born in Yarmouth on August 30, 1969 he was a son to Robert Porter (Donna Cosman) Rockville Yarmouth Co., and Margaret Porter, Raynardton. Cory was a fun loving guy who had a large group of friends. He enjoyed spending time camping in Forest Glen and he also took after his mother and was a great cook. Besides his parents he is survived by his wife, Pam Porter, Windsor; children, Trevor Richardson and Devin Porter; siblings, Arnold and Patty Porter; Troy Porter and Kelly Murphy; Wentworth and Tracy Porter; grandchildren, Morgan and Hayden; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his son, Matt Porter; paternal grandparents, Wentworth and Anna Porter; and maternal grandparents Eva Smith (Don) and Arthur Nickerson. A memorial service was held Saturday, August 27, 2016 at 10:30 A.M. from Sweeny’s Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. A.D “Bill” Newell officiated. Interment followed in Chebogue Cemetery.
