Of Ferryland, passed peacefully away on Thursday, September 1, in her 86th year. Catherine is predeceased by her husband and love of her life Cyril in 2001, parents Mary and Johnny Kavanagh, brothers, Clarence, Martin, Thomas, Ernie, Ambrose, Peter, Paddy and France, her sister, Sr. M. Colette, baby sister Philomena and lifelong friend Bride Kavanagh. Leaving to mourn her brother Phonse (Aggie) Kavanagh, her sister, Angela Chidley (Jimmy - deceased) and sisters-in-law Alice Kavanagh and Madeline Berrigan, very dear nephew and his wife, Barry and Jean Anne, numerous other nieces, nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews. Also left to mourn Catherine are Gerald and Jean Fahey and family, as well as the residents and staff (special friend Sharon), of Fahey's Personal Care Home, Fermeuse, where she resided for the past 9 years and where her life was enriched beyond measure. Remains resting at Fahey's Funeral Home on Saturday, September 3 from 4 to 9 p.m. and Sunday, September 4 from 2 to 9 p.m. Funeral to take place on Monday, September 5 at 11 a.m. at Holy Trinity Church, Ferryland. Interment to follow at Holy Trinity Cemetery, Ferryland.
