CALDER Ignatius DEVISON

It is with sadness that we, the family, announce the passing of Calder Devison, age 80, on Monday, September 5, 2016 at the Glace Bay Hospital. Born in Glace Bay, Calder was the son of the late Andrew and Mary (Steele) Devison. Calder owned and operated Calder Devison Service Centre Ltd. (formerly Devison’s Esso) for the past 55 years, where he earned a reputation as a kind and honest businessman. Calder was a member of St. Anne’s Parish. He was a 3rd degree member of the Knights of Columbus. Calder’s favorite pastime was Mira, where he spent many years gardening, boating, and relaxing. He was especially devoted to his wife and family. Calder is survived by his loving wife, Anne (Livingstone); sons, Michael, Vancouver, David, Southampton, Ont, Paul (Kim), Bracebridge, Ont, Brian, Glace Bay; brother, Wilfred (Donna), Glace Bay; grandchildren, Breton, Andrew , Jack and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Calder was predeceased by his brother, Joe. Cremation has taken place under the care and guidance of Curry's Funeral Home, 775 Main St., Glace Bay. There will be no visitation. A private funeral service will be held at Curry’s Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev Leo Boone officiating.
