LeBLANC, Sandra Dawn – age 53, Deerfield, Yarmouth Co., passed away on Sunday, September 11, 2016 in Yarmouth Regional Hospital, with her family at her side. Born November 8, 1962 in Digby, she was a daughter of Sharon (Cohoon) LeBlanc, Yarmouth, and the late Achille “Archie” LeBlanc. Sandra was currently working at Paperchase Environmental Depot in Yarmouth. She will be remembered as a social butterfly who was always on the go and had an infectious laugh. Aside from her mother, she is survived by a daughter, Jessica LeBlanc, as well as by her grandchildren, Lexie Nickerson (14), Cruz Gabriel (5), Trew Gabriel (3) and a step-granddaughter, Cali Fraser. Also surviving are her companion, Garth Barry, as well as a sister, Susan (Timmy) Smith, Yarmouth and a brother, Bruce (Donna) LeBlanc, Williams Lake, BC. A memorial service was held at 2 p.m., Saturday, September 17 from H.M. Huskilson’s Memorial Chapel, 29 Albert St., Yarmouth, Rev. A.D. (Bill) Newell officiated. Interment followed in Our Lady of Calvary Cemetery, Yarmouth. It was requested that there be family flowers only. Donations in memory of Sandra may be made to the IWK Hospital Foundation.
