It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our Mom, Nattie C. Nolan (nee Rose), of St. Mary's, formerly of Victoria, Carbonear, aged 74 years, while surrounded by her family at the Palliative Care Unit, St. John's, on Sunday, September 25, 2016, following a courageous battle with cancer. She is Predeceased by her husband Stephen "Steve" (March 2016), sons Eddie and Scott, parents Thomas & Phoebe Rose; brothers: James, Herb, Jack, Fred, Hughie, Tom and Clarence and sister Lillian Penney. Leaving to mourn her children: Stephanie "Yvette", Yvonne (Robert) Bishop, Stephen (Amanda), daughter-in-law Janet St. Croix-Nolan; her grandchildren, whom she considered her pride and joy: Devin, Jonah, Andrew, Ryan, Jacob, Robyn, Amy and Lucas, brothers Aubrey (Eileen) and Vincent (Genevieve); sister Mildred Kelloway and sisters-in-law: Helen Rose, Elizabeth Rose, Annie Rose, Ruby Rose, Eileen Linehan, Margaret Phelan, Annie Power, Isabel Del Bianco and Irene Reiter. Mom leaves behind many great memories to be cherished by a large circle of family and friends that stood by her, especially her card playing "buddies" and her walking companions Uriel Tobin and Gen Meehan. A very special thank you is also extended to doctors, nurses and staff at Palliative Care for your comfort, support and care. Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held at Gibbons' Funeral Home, St. Mary's, on Friday, September 30, from 12 - 4; 6 - 9pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, October 1, at 10am, at Our Lady of the Assumption Church, St. Mary's. Burial to follow at St. Mary's (old cemetery).
