With broken hearts we announce the sudden passing of Patricia Ann Pretty aged 65, on Tuesday September 27, 2016 in Calgary Alberta. Pat was born in Yarmouth N.S., spent her childhood in Cape Breton and lived in Alberta for the last 30 years. If you asked Pat where she was from she would say ‘I’m from Cape Breton, but I live in Calgary’. Pat is predeceased by her father, Elvin Gaudley; her brother, Ronald Nickerson and a sister in infancy. Pat is survived by her mom, Glenna Gaudley (Nickerson) and by her daughter, Nicole, the light of her life and by her fur grandchildren, Spencer, Emma, and Pharaoh. She is also survived by her siblings, Elvin(Dutchie) Gaudley of Manitoba, William (Billy) Gaudley of Ontario, Sylvia (Phil) Carter of Sydney, Wendy (Colin) Mac Neil of OttawaBrook, Shawn (Patty) Gaudley of MacKinnons Harbour; her very best friend, Bev Stoddard of Calgary and her many nieces, nephews, family and friends.
There will be no visitation but we invite anyone who would like to join us for the committal service, taking place on Monday October 3 at 11 a.m. at St. Columba Church Cemetery, St. Barrra Parish Iona. A reception will follow at St. Columba Parish Centre. Donations made in memory of Pat can be made to the St. Columba Parish Cemetery, the Nova Scotia SPCA, or a charity of your choice.
