Passed peacefully away at the Health Sciences Centre, St. John's on Monday, September 26, 2016, Olive A. Rose of Salmon Cove, age 87 years. Predeceased by husband: Edmond; infant son: Frederick; brothers: Edward and Herbert; sisters: Susie Hancock, Ella Gill, and Bernetta Canning. Left to mourn, four sons: Gordon (Vera), Carbonear, Herbert (Sharon), Bristol’s Hope, Lloyd (Germaine), Victoria, and Edgar (Arlene), Salmon Cove; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; three brothers: Max Humby, George Humby, both of Roddickton, and Alfred Humby, Toronto, ON; one sister: Emma Compton, Englee; also a number of other relatives and friends. Rested at Noel's Funeral Home, Carbonear. Pastor Geoffrey Ryan conducted the Funeral Service on Thursday, September 29 at Bethel Pentecostal Church, Victoria.
