The death occurred on Thursday, September 29, 2016, at the King's County Memorial Hospital, of Everett Aitken of Fortune, in his 79th year. Beloved husband of Virginia (nee Jeffrey). Loving father of Sandra Jenkins and Susan Chisholm (Jeff). Fondly remembered by grandchildren Madison, Emily and Katie Jenkins; Jackson and Maggie Chisholm. Predeceased by parents Jack and Sara Aitken and infant sister. Resting at Dingwell Funeral Home in Souris for visiting hours on Monday evening, October 3, 2016 from 5 to 8 p.m. Funeral to be held on Tuesday afternoon, October 4, 2016 at the Bay Fortune United Church, for funeral service at 2 p.m. Interment in the church cemetery.
