At the Queen Elizabeth Hospital on Sunday, October 2, 2016 of Rev. John Joseph “J. J.” Dunphy, age 88 years. Predeceased by his parents Wilfred and Josephine (Kelly) Dunphy and by his brother Dunstan. Lovingly remembered by numerous cousins and by his many friends across, Prince Edward Island, Canada and the United States. Father J. J. served the Diocese of Charlottetown from 1958 to 1997 serving in St. Mary’s Parish, Souris; St. Mark’s Parish, Lot 7; Immaculate Conception Parish, Palmer Road; St. Columba Parish, St. Columba; St. Pius X Parish, Charlottetown; St. Bonavenure Parish, Tracadie and St. Malachy's Parish, Kinkora. Resting at Belvedere Funeral Home for visitation at the funeral home on Tuesday 3-6 p.m. Visitation Wednesday from 10 a.m. – 10:45 a.m. at the Church of the Little Flower, Morell. The funeral mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. at the church. Interment in St. Lawrence O’Toole.
